“We are pleased to be able to successfully shape many local projects on a sustainable basis.”

Wolfgang Egger, initiator of the PATRIZIA Children Foundation

New event: first Foundation Talk with the Queen Mother of Bhutan, Dr Auma Obama and Wolfgang Egger

What is the best way to support disadvantaged children and adolescents worldwide? The first Foundation Talk of the PATRIZIA Children Foundation, which was held in Frankfurt on 12 September, looked at the challenges and goals of international foundation work. The event was also the starting signal for a new project.

The day included a panel discussion in front of the sponsors of the PATRIZIA Children Foundation. Our founder Wolfgang Egger was joined by a variety of high-calibre guests, including Dr Auma Obama, founder of the Sauti Kuu Foundation and partner of the new PATRIZIA Vocational Training Centre in Alego, Kenya. Dr Obama, who is the sister of the former US president, praised the organisation’s approach of working in partnership with local organisations.

The Queen Mother of Bhutan, Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, also participated in the event. At the event, she introduced her RENEW Foundation, which was founded in 2004 and is the only institution in Bhutan to offer a safe home to children and women threatened by violence. With an obvious sense of delight, she also announced that her foundation will also be working with the foundation of PATRIZIA Immobilien AG on a new collaborative project in the Himalayan state. This will be the 17th facility of the PATRIZIA Children Foundation.

The first Foundation Talk was attended by over 100 world-class guests, resulting in a successful event which is sure to pave the way for further exciting events organised by the PATRIZIA Children Foundation.
