First Foundation Talk in Frankfurt

Oct. 2018

How can disadvantaged children and young people around the world be successfully supported? The challenges and goals of international foundation work were on the minds of the participants and guests at the PATRIZIA Foundation’s first Foundation Talk in Frankfurt on 12 September 2018. The event was also the kick-off for a new project.

At the panel discussion for the PATRIZIA Foundation’s sponsors, Foundation founder Wolfgang Egger was joined by high-profile guests: Dr. Auma Obama, founder of the Sauti Kuu Foundation and partner of the new PATRIZIA Vocational Training Center in Alego, Kenya. The sister of the former US President praised the approach of working in partnership with local organisations.

Another participant was the Queen Mother of Bhutan, Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck. She presented her foundation RENEW, which was founded in 2004 and is the only institution in Bhutan that primarily offers a safe home to children and women at risk of violence. She was pleased to be able to announce, together with the PATRIZIA Foundation, that they are starting a new project in the Himalayan state: the 17th PATRIZIA Foundation institution will be built here.

All in all, the 1st Foundation Talk with more than 100 top-class guests was a successful event and the prelude to further exciting events of the PATRIZIA Foundation.
