Questions about the facilities<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

In what ways is the foundation different from other NGOs working in the field of child education?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

<\/p>\n

Our aim is to operate facilities together with our local partners for at least 25 years. This obligation applies to both parties when we set up a new facility \u2013 not just us, but also local stakeholders. This is because we want to make a difference in the long term and foster the development of independent communities.<\/p>\n

Furthermore: 100 percent of every donated euro goes into our projects. This is because all administrative costs are paid for by PATRIZIA AG.<\/span><\/p>\n

Which children are provided with support?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The children participating in PATRIZIA Foundation projects come from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. We treat all children equally, regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, or additional needs.<\/p>\n

A key focus is on inclusion and accessibility, ensuring that children with physical or intellectual disabilities also have access to education and care. One example is the PATRIZIA Inclusive School in Alotenango, Guatemala<\/a>, which supports children from indigenous communities and those with additional needs, while providing accessible learning environments.<\/p>\n

Depending on the project, the age groups supported range from nursery and primary school children through to young people undertaking vocational training.<\/p>\n

What teaching methods are used at PATRIZIA facilities?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Which pedagogical methods to use at which school is decided by the local partners that run each facility. We are happy to draw on our expertise and help you in this area \u2013 for example as part of our Ready for the Future project by organising workshops and training.<\/p>\n

How do PATRIZIA KinderHaus facilities promote girls\u2019 education?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

<\/p>\n

As a matter of principle, we are committed to educational opportunities regardless of gender. Some facilities were established specifically for girls, however, such as PATRIZIA Child Care Porayar in India<\/a> (which includes a home for 5- to 17-year-old girls from socially disadvantaged families in need) and PATRIZIA School Peramiho in Tanzania<\/a> (which has a dormitory at the girls\u2019 school).<\/p>\n

Do PATRIZIA facilities also offer secondary\/adult education after elementary\/primary school?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

The PATRIZIA Foundation has also built facilities for further education. These include both secondary schools and vocational schools. The PATRIZIA Vocational Training Centre<\/a> in the Rwandan town of Ntarama is an apprenticeship centre for young adults.<\/p>\n

Are sustainability factors taken into account when building KinderHaus facilities? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

<\/p>\n

They most certainly are! We and our local partners use sustainable materials for construction purposes. One example of a sustainable development is the extension at PATRIZIA School Dhoksan in Nepal<\/a> \u2013 many of the materials were donated after being originally used in houses destroyed by the earthquake (windows, bricks), or they were made by the villagers themselves (compressed clay). <\/p>\n

How does the PATRIZIA Foundation decide where to establish a new project?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

<\/p>\n

The Foundation works in regions where there is a significant need for education and support, partnering with local organisations that can deliver projects sustainably over the long term.<\/p>\n

We primarily support permanent facilities such as schools, vocational training centres and healthcare services that remove barriers and create lasting opportunities for children and young people.<\/p>\n

What proportion of money goes towards the work being carried out on projects? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Since PATRIZIA SE and the founding family cover all administrative costs of the PATRIZIA Foundation, 100 percent of every donated euro goes directly into project work.<\/p>\n

Administrative expenses for the 2025 financial year totaled approximately \u20ac700,000. These comprise all expenses incurred in the administration of the foundation\u2014particularly those related to fundraising\u2014aimed at achieving the necessary public visibility and reaching potential donors. It should be noted that PATRIZIA SE and the founding family cover these expenses through their contributions to the foundation.<\/p>\n

On our donation form you can choose the purpose for current projects. However, a general donation helps us to use the money where it is needed most.<\/p>\n

When will I be sent a receipt of donations for tax purposes?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

In Germany, it is permitted to submit donations of \u20ac300 or less to the competent tax authority without requiring an official certificate (confirmation of charitable donation). Simply provide evidence of a bank transfer (e.g. deposit slip or bank statement).\u00a0 Despite this, we will automatically send you a receipt for charitable donations of \u20ac100 or more, provided we have your current address. If you did not provide an address when making your donation, you can still request a donation certificate by writing to \u00a0info@patrizia.foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For our work and your contributions to have the greatest impact, it is more effective to support the PATRIZIA Foundation and children in our care by making financial donations. The foundation would therefore ask for refrain from donations in kind.<\/p>\n

As a member of the Transparent Civil Society Initiative and the German Donations Council, the PATRIZIA Foundation is committed to the utmost transparency<\/a>. Accordingly, we voluntarily undergo independent annual audits.<\/p>\n

Donations from abroad are welcome and 100% of all donations go directly towards our projects. You will automatically receive a donation receipt in accordance with German law.<\/p>\n

If you require a tax certificate for your own country, you may alternatively donate through an intermediary organisation or a local partner. In many cases, your donation can then be passed on to the Foundation and may be tax-deductible under local regulations.<\/p>\n

Please check the applicable tax rules in your country before making a donation.<\/p>\n

As a CSR partner, you demonstrate social responsibility by supporting educational projects and helping children and young people around the world gain greater access to opportunities. You may also use your partnership in your own communications, and the Foundation will support you in doing so.<\/p>\n

Can I\/we also help with projects? Is it possible to help with facilities on site? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Unfortunately this is not possible for private individuals. Partners and their employees can become actively involved in the construction of a facility as part of a CSR project.<\/a> We also arrange corporate volunteering programmes to allow sponsors to become directly involved. What\u2019s important is that these programmes can only be arranged during the construction phase \u2013 not for our work directly with the children. This is because our project partners and their employees are the education experts.<\/p>\n
