The 45-minute virtual get-together focused on the coronavirus relief fund and the situation faced by PATRIZIA KinderHaus facilities on the ground. <\/p>\n<p>We invited Brother Ansgar St\u00fcfe to talk at the event as a guest speaker. Brother Ansgar worked as a missionary and doctor in Africa for 16 years and was responsible for St. Joseph\u2019s Hospital in Peramiho in Tanzania, where the first ever PATRIZIA Foundation project was set up. In his talk, Brother Ansgar provided some fascinating insights into the coronavirus situation in Tanzania and India. <\/p>\n<p>Petra Ellert, Jowita Fuchshofer and Sandra von Waldenfels from the foundation gave some absorbing insights into our KinderHaus facilities and explained how the foundation has already successfully provided help through the emergency fund. The event drew to a close with a speech of thanks by Amanda Nortje from Thembalitsha, our partner organisation in South Africa. <\/p>\n<p>Feedback from participants at the event was positive all round. \u201cThey found it quite moving and it was interesting to hear such vivid descriptions of the situation on the ground,\u201d concludes Sandra von Waldenfels. A sommelier accompanied guests through the evening and presented wines from South Africa. To prepare for the tasting, they had already received a delivery of selected wines to turn the pleasure trip into a tangible experience. The tasting was interspersed with insights into foundation projects currently underway in South Africa. Our guest at the virtual event was Amanda Nortje from our partner organisation Thembalitsha Foundation.
