The girls\u2019 school is the first in the region and is located in the Tanzanian city of Peramiho.<\/p>\n<p>In the middle school in the East African state, 30 pupils can now be accommodated in each of the two dormitories. Every year, 60 schoolgirls prepare here for their degree under the best conditions. Until recently, girls striving towards a scientific career had to change schools after the tenth grade, because no chemistry or physics lessons were offered at this school. The annual examination results show that the school of the Benedictine Sisters is one of the 30 best in the country. But to prepare the home-grown vegetables from the school\u2019s own fields, the wood first has to reach the kitchen. To do this, the girls form a human chain and pass the logs on to the kitchen pantry. They hear about life in Europe and are not afraid to ask the two women a whole host of interesting questions. Fortunately, there are no language barriers thanks to the good English lessons at PATRIZIA School Peramiho. As their families\u2019 houses are far away, the daily walk to school would be too tiring and time-consuming. The dormitories built by the PATRIZIA Foundation offer the girls security and safety \u2013 the ideal place to recharge their batteries after a day full of lessons and Mtwara region, hundreds of kilometers away from Peramiho. Her mother suffered severe domestic abuse until, one day, she took a courageous step: she fled with her daughter\u2014without knowing where to go. With no place to stay, they were left with only the streets, until they heard of the Benedictine Sisters in Ndanda and sought their help.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">The sisters quickly recognized Neema\u2019s extraordinary intelligence and potential. They decided to send the young girl to the PATRIZIA Peramiho Girls' Secondary School, a partner school of the Benedictine Sisters. At first, Neema struggled to keep up with the high academic standards. But she didn't give up. With the support of her teachers and fellow students, she quickly caught up and soon exceeded all expectations.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Today, two years later, she is flourishing. She is working resolutely toward her dream: to become a gynecologist, so that one day she can help women in need<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">\u201cOne day, I will be a doctor. She comes from the Chimala district, about 400 km northwest of Peramiho. Her mother is a housewife, and her father works as a farmer.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"301\" data-end=\"482\">At secondary school, Mary has found a second home where she feels comfortable. She is especially passionate about the natural sciences. Her big dream is to become a pilot one day!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"720\">Thanks to the school\u2019s expansion in 2017, Mary now has the opportunity to complete her high school education with a focus on science. Who controls the destiny of my country? Sophia displays a healthy curiosity \u2013 not only about the social context in her own country. She is one of the girls who are accommodated in the new living space of the PATRZIA School Peramiho.
