Our Work

For 26 years, the PATRIZIA Foundation has been committed to enabling access to education, care, and healthcare for children and young people worldwide. Our vision and mission is a world in which every child has the opportunity to lead a self-determined life—regardless of origin or living circumstances.

The Foundation achieves this goal through the construction of so-called KinderHäuser (Children’s Houses).
Together with our partners, we…

  • create learning spaces such as daycare centers, schools, and health centers
  • develop programs to enhance teaching quality and implement school development initiatives (e.g. Ready for the Future, EoL)
  • ensure long-term, stable operations through accompanying measures and provide ongoing support when challenges or new needs arise
  • build and renovate educational and healthcare infrastructure
  • develop strategies to secure sustainable operations and continuous quality assurance

All projects are funded 100% through donations, with many supporters contributing through long-term corporate partnerships or KinderHaus sponsorships. Administrative costs are covered by PATRIZIA SE, ensuring that every donation goes directly where it is needed and achieves the greatest possible impact. Implementation always takes place in close cooperation with experienced local project partners. We contribute our expertise in construction, project development, and impact management, while our partners provide their local knowledge. Together, we ensure that each KinderHaus is operated and continuously developed for at least 25 years – sustainably, reliably, and with a future-focused approach. This way, more than just a building is created – each KinderHaus is a safe place that opens up new opportunities for children.

But how does this work in practice? Here, we provide insights into our partnerships, the journey toward a KinderHaus, and the moving stories of children from our projects.

Stories of Change

How we work

Sustainably. In Partnership. With Impact.

The PATRIZIA Foundation pursues a unique, long-term approach: Our projects are not only developed with great care – we support them from the very beginning for at least 25 years to create safe educational, care, and healthcare facilities that will have a lasting impact across generations. In doing so, we work as equals with competent, experienced partners who share our values and philosophy.

A global or large national partner organization serves as a framework partner, bringing many years of experience and working with us to ensure operations over a 25-year period. In this way, we support the local partner with expertise, financial resources, and access to our network.

A capable local partner organization acts as the local implementation partner, understanding community needs and being firmly embedded within the local context.

Together, we assess local conditions, access to labor, and the specific needs of the community.

Sustainability in Three Dimensions

Our work is designed for sustainability from the very beginning—ecologically, economically, and socially.

Social
We create safe, inclusive spaces for children of all backgrounds.

Ecological
We prioritize construction using local materials, energy-efficient designs, and green spaces.

Economic
We enable our partners to take full ownership and operate independently over the long term.

Our values

Impact is achieved together through open collaboration and clear accountability.
