Norton Rose Fulbright´s charity cooking event

May. 2019

Another Sponsor Circle member of the PATRIZIA Foundation was very active in May: Norton Rose Fulbright gathered its business partners, customers and friends for a charity cooking event at the Kochwerk in Frankfurt on May 28. The global law firm had invited them to a sensational location overlooking the Frankfurt skyline – for the benefit of the PATRIZIA Foundation.

Doing good together – was in the very centre of the charity cooking event by Norton Rose Fulbright for the 35 guests. The colleagues, business partners and friends of the global law firm enjoyed the charitable get-together with good conversations, networking, exchange of ideas and donating to the good cause. In addition, they took an active part in the preparation of the menu and learned a number of professional tricks from the chefs present.

The good cause – spreading from Frankfurt into the world

The Kochwerk location high above the rooftops of Frankfurt created a unique atmosphere for the charity cooking event. Many guests enjoyed it so much, the event ended late that night. For the foundation, the event was a complete success and a substantial amount was donated to the school project of the PATRIZIA Foundation in Zimbabwe’s capital Harare. The school is one of the Foundation’s current 19 projects worldwide.

Long-term perspectives for children all over the world

International cooperation at its best: For the PATRIZIA School Harare in Zimbabwe’s capital of the same name, the PATRIZIA Foundation started construction in 2016 together with Engineers Without Borders and local organizations such as Vision & Hope. Once completed, the modular primary school will comprise 14 classrooms and provide room for over 700 children.

After the construction of the first two classrooms in 2016, two more followed in 2017 and a covered outdoor area was added. Three additional classrooms are nearing completion. More than 600 children can attend school here already. The builders allow for an overbooking of up to 1.000 children, in a poverty-stricken area with no other schools nearby. With this project, PATRIZIA Foundation is thus coming a big step closer to its goal of providing children worldwide with access to education.
